3.30pm from Kerteh town and reached Damansara at 7++ pm, in time for fasting. I wonder how many speed traps did I posed for..

Yes, i was in Kerteh for last 2 days for business. Drove all myself from KL on Tuesday right after my Subuh prayers and reached the site at around 11.00 am. Drenched myself in sweat, with my eyes getting drowsy by the minute... Spent the rest of the day running around and mostly under direct sun.. Went to the hotel to check in and slept till senja.. I had my ikan bakar buka puasa, which was nice and satisfying.. Then went back to the hotel and found myself wide awake..! Luckily TAKEN (please watch this if you have the chance...!) was on StarWorld so decided to catch the movie (again!) until 2am.. Huh? 2am? I have to wake up early and be at the site at 6am....! Deng!!!

Woke up and jumped off the bed at 7am (i didn't even have my sahur)... and rushed to the site where everyone was waiting for me to give que.. Gave them the que to start work from inside the car and stayed there to catch my breath for a while... Then i went around to see how's everything doing.. Went back at the hotel at 11am to sleep a while and checked out at 1pm.. Went back to the site to have a look before going back.

Took off from the site at 3pm, went for keropok browsing and reached KL at 7pm... Nice huh...

I guess its the stay-in-house thingy thats been a trend since H1N1 outbreak.. Nothing to do, lotsa time together.. Walloh! Hahaha

Thursday The 13th

I was about to kick start work when i got a call from my maid that Faleeq is vomiting non-stop. He's been known to have asthma several months ago after he caught a bad cough.. So, without hesitation i went to the boss asking for early release. As soon as i got home, i can hear his cough and wheezing from him upstairs. I took him to the doctor immediately.. With all the pandemic going around one shouldn't waste time when it comes to ur young ones' health... At the clinic, he was treated with nebulizer and some medication. After meal, i gave him some more and he was showing signs of improvement. His phlegm was running down his nose and he cough a lot lesser..

He was weak and was running about his ownself.. Damn it i was worried..

He slept through the day like a baby after crying his lungs out when i gave him those medicines. He was not a big fans of medications u see.. At nite, he still have cough but the wheezing was beginning to fade.. Gud news for us.. And this morning he was okay.. I guess that was happens when ur kid has asthma.. Lucky for me, i have a slight one.. Just during my early secondary years that i fainted due to breathing problems..

But i left the office with lotsa things undone.. HP was constantly ringing with calls and sms-es.. We're due for a big meeting today and most things that're outa our control was left hanging.. People just done seem to understand and wanna understand how we do work.. They simply let things at the very end to tell us of any changes.. I dun work well with adhoc changes.. I HATE!!

I came in this morning as early as 7am.. before 7 actually. Just to finish up some things before the meeting. The meeting itself didn't went well coz *those* people that like to make big announcement during the last minute.. And even the vendor of our system did not do the thing that he's suppose or claimed to do yesterday. Lucky that i went through every single thing before handing stuff out to the meeting members. I tried to make it as perfect as possible. Its almost impossible u see coz it involves so many people..

When the meeting is over, i still dun feel at ease. Coz i dun think it went as well as i wanted it to be. And the boss seems abit annoyed that things resulted the way it did.. Time, people and space was in my way.. I hope that the whole thing that we prepared for next week went well. Insyallah..

Ggak Bisa Ngombrol

Gwe udah coba mau baiki sendirian tapi nggak bisa.. Kesimpulannya, ari ni gwe bisa memeriksa segala surat yang perlu gwe tandatangan. Mudah-mudahan segala-galanya selesei..

CatCity - Last Week

Like i said, i was in CatCity last week for a course.. 

It was a Leadership & Organizational Effective Course organized by my division. As i mentioned, a funny thing happened during this course. I was very excited to go b'coz it was my 1st time ever in Sarawak.. Never in my 30 odd years that i had the chance to go to Sarawak.. So, being so excited i got all my gadget ready.. My camera with the charger, my cameraphone with its charger etc.. So that i can capture the view and people while i was there.. I had everything planned out and made sure that my phone was working just in care.. 

The funny thing was, i had my phone but no charger.. Thanks Adni and Eliza for lending me ur charger.. And i had my charger with me without the camera.. Damn it!! Really was frustrating.. Again TQ to Adni, Eliza and other people for letting me inter frame during photo shoots... 

The course was conducted by Stoke Hill Management Master with its Chief Principal Consultant herself giving the talk.. Puan Jamaliah Mohammed or Puan Jem was really sporting and helpful with tips and advice to be a better supervisor at the office.. I am truly thankful to be a part of this program. She had the time to point out individual weaknesses and identified ways to improve ourselves. With AV help, movies, animations and even diagrams really helped most of us understand what was the course all about. 

The course was all about leadership, learning styles and communicating effectively. With games and what not, we were exposed to different style of personality traits and how to approach different type of people. It was true, most of it that is.. Avoiding conflict by communicating better, managing ur team and being a well prepared leader..

But i still can't except the fact that i am a teddy bear type of person.. A humble and influencing type of person. I tot i was more of a shark type, a dominating SOB.. Hahaha 

We were also tot to face our fears and dun let it hold us back.. It was mainly fun.. I learned that not most people understand what we teach or show them, being more attentive in giving instruction and understanding their limits and constraint will make learning easier for everybody. Understanding and negotiating our fears, learning to listen and communicate more effectively, comparing a leader and a manager, negotiation skill and making fast & effective decisions are some of the topics that was taught during the 4 days course.. 

But thoughts of my little one was bothering me to concentrate.. I really miss them both..! TQ to elliz for mms-ing the cute photos of them together.. 

For people who hasn't been to Sarawak before (like i was).. It is famous for its Kek Lapis and the Terubuk Masin, aside from the beautiful craftsmanship of its wood craft and local ritual or dance.. I dunno much but was really anxious to find out.. Unfortunately, we had very little time to spend for site seeing. 

However, we had the chance to go Kek Lapis shopping and Razimi helped us with the Terubuk Masin ordering.. TQ dude..! At least, i got something from there..

Greetings from the land of the cats... Meoooww...!!

Am now in Sarawak for a course.. TQ for inviting me.. Believe it or not, after living for almost 30 years, this is my 1st visit here...

We Have A Lift Off

After long hours of brainstorming, days of running up and down, months of anticipations and sleepless nites, our SPAT system was launched this morning  by the Minister himself during the monthly assembly. At the same ceremony we were introduced to the new Deputy Health Minister Datuk Rosnah which made her debut appearence during the event. 

Houston, we have a clear launch!

Through out the event we were on the edge, sweaty palms, fast breathing and really² anxious about the whole thing. Its been months since the long awaited launching of the system. After all the work and discussions, meeting after meetings, from one amendment to another, at last it is done.. I thank all the people who were involve from the beginning.. Our boss Cik Maya was the one that really had her life on the line for this.. She was there since the system started with a mere idea and meeting.. I came in after the 1st half and it was already a big deal for me.. A big thanks to people from IT Dept, Asri, Fara, Sarah and Henny.. I big thanks to KE and Edni for lending their voices to make this VT a success.. I agree when people say that u guys have the voice of a celebrity.. Also Chris from HECC that has been helping us with the last minute adjustment to our multimedia presentation. I will upload the video to youtube as an acknowledgement to all ur work.. Thanks guys!! 

Also, thank to my wifey for lending her ears all this while listening to me telling her about SPAT this SPAT that.. Now it is launch, its time to go on with our lives and get back to work...! 

Lagenda Mahsuri

Hei.. Greetings from the land of Mahsuri.. Am here for the day and will be back tonite.. Just arrived around noon just now.. Gonna go shopping later after my ceramah.. Yeyy!! been a while since my last trip here... Mean while enjoy a snap shot from my hotel room..

Huh? Its only Wednesday??

Huh? Its only Wednesday.. Doesn't time suppose to fly faster when ur bz? huhuhu 

It has been a very long week so far and its only Wednesday! Monday went for Parliment then had meetings all day yesterday.. Ahh... Life of a public servant.. Who said we dun do work and dunno anything..? I had i have response like "ooo rilex jela.." or "bleh minum² la eh" when people know that i am in the public sector 

Last weekend we went back to JB visit dad.. He's getting better but is still weak. Oh ya, btw he's being admitted to the hospital again as i write here.. the doctor wants to examine his kidney condition to find out how bad is it.. 

So we took off from KL on Friday after isya' and reached there at around 130 am. Traffic was a killer around Seremban exit. We actually anticipated this coz we know how KL people like to go to PD or somewhere in NS to chill. But the jem was not caused by the number of cars exiting the hiway but coz of a car stranded with engine failure ON THE ROAD SIDE...! How dumb can u be?? huh!!

We were there for that brief period and we'll be sure to go back again once we had the chance.. Saturday we went out for groceries and stuff and before heading back to KL on Saturday we had a small bday celebration for Athirah. She's now 6 YO.. Very talkative, very sensitive and quite choosy when it comes to food (like the father).. 

OTW back here, it was raining very heavily and i can hardly see where i am going. We had to make several stops until the rain passes us by.. We reached home at around 8pm plus.. Faleeq slept all the way thru the journey. I guess playing with his cousins during the bday thingy was tiring for him..

SPAT - Up and Running

Sistem Pengurusan Pengambilan Atas Talian or SPAT is one of the major project that is have been into lately.. The department has been at this since 2007 and at last the system is up and running.. We're expect to launch the system in April by the minister himself.. I have been a part of the process since a couple of months ago and i have to say that it is a gud thing.. At the current economic situation, retrenchment and labor market instability, this system come at a gud time.. 

A bit about the system - it is almost similar to the system that SPA uses. A system that enables the public to apply for a job online.. It is paperless, time and cost saving, and it reduces the time consumption to half.. By end of the month, the whole Malaysia will be able to enjoy the privilage of this system.. Tagged with a line - Masa Hadapan Di Hujung Jari (TQ En Roslee), the public can now apply for support group close service MoH job with a click of a button.. If readers, frens and family have people with minimum PMR holders, they can make their way to the system here SPAT. 

At the beginning of the year, we have been pushing for the vendor to finalize everything. From the design of the web layout, to the brochure.. Training was given to us as user for a whole week to ensure that we get familiar to the system.. And techno training was given to IT Dept so that they can play around and be available for any alterations or upgrades that we need on the system.. So, please make ur way and tell others about this opportunity..
